Practical training for real hospitality venues

Clear, role-based learning designed for the people who work in and lead hospitality venues.

Available through AusComply.

Training that reaches the floor

Policies and procedures only work when people understand what they mean for their role.

VenueWise turns complex requirements into practical training using:

Plain language

Clear explanations that make complicated responsibilities easier to understand.

Real venue scenarios

Recognisable situations that connect the learning to what happens during a shift.

Clear role boundaries

Practical guidance about what to notice, what action to take and when to escalate.

The result is training people can understand, remember and apply in the venue.

Meet the person behind VenueWise

Nicola Ragan is a specialist hospitality trainer with a focus on practical compliance training.

Her experience spans hospitality operations, staff development, training design and the delivery of specialist liquor and gaming training across New South Wales.

Nicola was a member of the Liquor & Gaming NSW co-design team involved in developing the NSW Licensee Training program. Combined with her years working in and managing hospitality venues, this gives her a clear understanding of both the regulatory requirements and the realities of applying them during daily operations.

VenueWise brings those two perspectives together, turning detailed information into clear and practical training built around real hospitality roles and situations.

Nicola is also the co-founder of Admyn, where she combines her operational and training experience to help hospitality businesses improve their systems and support the people who use them.

AML/CTF training built around the role

Different roles across a venue carry different responsibilities. They should not all receive the same training.

The VenueWise AML/CTF training suite is designed for pubs, hotels and clubs, with learning matched to what each person needs to understand and apply.

Frontline employees

Recognise unusual activity, record useful information and escalate concerns through the correct venue process.

AML/CTF Compliance Officers

Understand the venue’s AML/CTF program, maintain effective controls and support ongoing compliance.

Supervisors and managers

Respond to frontline concerns, apply authorised controls and manage the immediate operational response.

Senior managers and governing bodies

Understand their accountability, oversight responsibilities and the information they need to assess whether the program is working.
